Taking submissions for September art gallery crawl in Kannapolis

The Downtown Kannapolis Store Window Art Gallery Crawl is a taking art submissions for its September installation. The showcase series and is scheduled to be a monthly art demonstration in the store windows in downtown Kannapolis, on West Avenue.

The first display had more than 20 items, including paintings, pottery and photographs. This will be a monthly series that is scheduled to change out the first Monday of each month. Submissions are open to all artistic formats, including drawings, paintings, pottery and jewelry. Exhibits must be family friendly and Downtown Kannapolis Store Window Art Gallery Crawl volunteers have the right to refuse to display a piece of artwork.

Art from the rotations will also be on display during an artist reception starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Old Cannon Towel Building. All artists who have their artwork displayed are invited to the artist reception as well as any artists/performers who participate in the Kaleidoscope Cultural Arts Festival series which run Sept. 27 and Oct. 25 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Kannapolis.

This series is organized by Kannapolis Arts  and sponsored by the North Carolina Research Campus, the City of Kannapolis, Downtown Kannapolis Inc., Omega Graphics and the Independent Tribune.
