Toni South, with the Charlotte based Small Keys makes natural handmade soaps and other bath and beauty products. She will be a guest at Kaleidoscope Cultural Arts Festival from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 27 in downtown Kannapolis.
“What started as a fun hobby for me has turned into a full time job. Two years ago, I began reading about ingredients in beauty and household products. I was shocked at the toxic ingredients I was putting on my body and became obsessed with ridding my household of toxins. After tinkering with making my own products, my ingredient collection grew, and I began giving products as gifts. Slowly this grew into a business. I run a retail location at the 7th Street Public Market, Charlotte an Etsy shop and I’m in a variety of Charlotte area shops.”
