The production will be for the 4th annual Halloween fundraiser with the play held on Thursday, Oct. 30; Friday, Oct. 31; and Saturday, Nov. 1.
The play is by Jeffrey Hatcher, from the story by Henry James and will be directed by Mike Curtis.
“A spine-tingling, psychological thriller based on the provocative tale of suspense, horror and repressed sexuality, this adaption gives Henry James’ famous story yet a new turn of its own,” the plot reads. “A young governess, a lonely English manor house, two young, recently orphaned children and two ghosts …. Or are the ghosts the figments of the young governess’s fevered imagination and she is mad?”
One female, age 18-30, plays the governess.
One male, age flexible, plays 3 different roles; the female housekeeper, a 10 year old boy and the children’s uncle.
Both cast members would need to have a strong acting range.
